
Tax Controversy Manager
At Ernst & Young (EY), we are looking for an experienced Tax Controversy Manager to join our team. We are looking for a highly motivated professional who is passionate about working on complex tax issues and is willing to take on new challenges. As the Tax Controversy Manager, you will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of EY’s tax controversy engagements, including researching, analyzing, and resolving complex tax issues. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Taxation, CPA and/or JD Tax Certification, and at least 5-7 years of experience in tax controversy. You should have a thorough understanding of the tax code, regulations, and case law in order to provide sound advice to our clients. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills, are essential for this role. Responsibilities:
- Manage the technical aspects of EY’s tax controversy engagements.
- Research, analyze, and resolve complex tax issues.
- Provide sound advice to clients on the tax code, regulations, and case law.
- Work independently and collaboratively to ensure successful completion of engagements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
- Develop and manage tax controversy projects, budgets, and timelines.
- Monitor tax legislation and advise clients on potential implications.
- Prepare tax controversy reports, memoranda, and other documents.
- Present tax controversy findings to clients.
- Train and mentor junior team members.
