
Nuclear Engineer
At Exelon, we are looking for an experienced, highly driven Nuclear Engineer to join our team. This individual should possess a combination of technical knowledge and engineering skills to support the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of our nuclear power plants. The successful candidate will have experience in the nuclear industry, an eye for detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The Nuclear Engineer is responsible for providing project engineering and technical support to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the nuclear power generation facility. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering or a related field, as well as experience in a nuclear power plant. Professional Engineering (PE) registration is also strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of nuclear plant design, systems, and components, and the ability to troubleshoot and analyze nuclear plant operations. In addition, the Nuclear Engineer should have the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including plant staff, regulatory agencies, and other teams in the company.
Responsibilities:
- Implement engineering principles and practices to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the nuclear power generation facility.
- Develop and review project designs, cost estimates, procedures, and operational plans to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Monitor and analyze plant operations to identify and address any potential safety or reliability issues.
- Collaborate and communicate with plant staff, regulatory agencies, and other teams in the company to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement plans to optimize the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the nuclear power plant operations.
- Troubleshoot and analyze nuclear plant operations and components to identify and resolve any potential safety or reliability issues.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other teams in the company to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the nuclear power plant.
- Develop and review project designs, cost estimates, and operational plans to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of developments in the nuclear industry, and identify areas where changes or improvements can be made.
