- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of export control regulations and their impact on software products.
- Identify potential export control risks and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to export control regulations throughout the product development process.
- Assist with internal audits and investigations related to export control compliance.
- Monitor changes in export control regulations and updates to product classifications, and communicate any necessary changes to relevant teams.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of export control compliance processes and procedures.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on export control regulations and compliance requirements.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and trends related to export control compliance.
- Uphold FIS's commitment to ethical business practices and compliance with all laws and regulations.
Knowledge Of Export Control Regulations: A Strong Understanding Of Export Control Regulations, Including The Export Administration Regulations (Ear) And International Traffic In Arms Regulations (Itar), Is Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Be Familiar With The Various Categories Of Products And Technologies That Are Subject To Export Controls.
Experience In Software Product Classification: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Software Product Classification, Specifically In Determining The Export Control Classification Number (Eccn) Or Us Munitions List (Usml) Category For Software Products. This Experience Should Also Include The Use Of Classification Tools And Software.
Attention To Detail: As An Export Control Compliance Analyst, Attention To Detail Is Crucial. The Candidate Should Have A Meticulous Approach To Reviewing And Classifying Software Products, As Even Small Errors Can Have Significant Consequences For The Company's Compliance With Export Control Regulations.
Analytical And Research Skills: The Ability To Analyze And Interpret Complex Regulatory Requirements, As Well As Research And Apply Relevant Government Guidance And Rulings, Is A Key Qualification For This Role.
