In this role, you will play a vital role in sourcing, screening, and hiring skilled trades contractors for our diverse range of projects. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, has excellent communication skills, and is able to build strong relationships with contractors.   1. Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract skilled trades contractors for various projects across different industries.
  2. Source potential candidates through various channels, such as job portals, social media, industry events, and referrals.
  3. Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and qualifications.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with trades contractors to understand their needs and preferences and effectively match them with suitable job opportunities.
  5. Collaborate with hiring managers and project managers to understand their requirements and ensure a timely and efficient recruitment process.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate information, job postings, and recruitment activities.
  7. Communicate job offers and negotiate terms and conditions with selected candidates.
  8. Conduct background checks and verify references for selected candidates.
  9. Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to develop and adjust recruitment strategies accordingly.
  10. Represent the company at job fairs, conferences, and other recruitment events to promote our brand and attract top talent.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In The Trades Industry: A Successful Trades Contractor Recruiter At First American Should Have Prior Experience Working In The Trades Industry, Such As Construction, Plumbing, Or Electrical Work. This Experience Will Give Them A Strong Understanding Of The Job Requirements And Skills Needed For Various Trades Positions.

  • Strong Networking And Relationship Building Skills: The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Trades Professionals And Industry Organizations Is Crucial For A Trades Contractor Recruiter. They Should Have A Strong Network Of Contacts In The Trades Industry And Be Able To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Them.
