
Activities Director
At First Atlantic Health Care, we are looking for an Activities Director who is passionate about connecting our residents to meaningful activities and socialization opportunities. The Activities Director will be responsible for ensuring that our residents' lives are enriched through meaningful experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the needs of an aging population and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.We are seeking a candidate who has a degree in recreational therapy, social work, or a related field, as well as previous experience in a health care setting. A background in activities and/or event planning is also a plus. The chosen candidate should be well-organized and have strong communication and interpersonal skills. They must be able to work well with a diverse team and be able to adapt to changing needs. Above all, the Activities Director must be committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Connect residents to meaningful activities and socialization opportunities.
- Ensure that residents' lives are enriched through meaningful experiences.
- Develop and implement activities and events tailored to the needs of the aging population.
- Create and maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for our residents.
- Manage a diverse team and adapt to changing needs.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and events.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the successful delivery of services.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
- Develop and administer budgets for activities and events.
