You should also have a strong knowledge of the customer journey, including a deep understanding of the product cycle, pricing, and merchandising strategy. Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential, as is a demonstrated ability to multitask and manage multiple projects. 2. Analyze customer needs and preferences to inform buying decisions.
3. Develop pricing and merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profit.
4. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
5. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure the right amount of stock is available.
6. Develop relationships with vendors to secure the best possible prices.
7. Create and manage the budget for the department.
8. Manage all product cycle activity, from sourcing and ordering to delivery and placement.
9. Stay abreast of changes in the retail landscape and make appropriate adjustments.
10. Ensure the highest level of customer service is maintained in all areas of the Footwear department.
