EKG Technician

As an EKG Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine and specialized electrocardiograms (EKGs) and other cardiac tests under the supervision of a physician. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, has excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and is committed to providing the best patient care possible.The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of one year of EKG experience, either in a hospital or physician’s office setting, as well as certification as an EKG Technician. Additionally, the successful candidate will have a high level of computer proficiency and the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment. Responsibilities:

1. Perform a variety of routine and specialized electrocardiograms (EKGs) and other cardiac tests under the supervision of a physician.
2. Ensure accurate patient information is collected and documented.
3. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
4. Use computers and other medical equipment to analyze and interpret data.
5. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
6. Work independently, as well as in a team environment.
7. Maintain a high level of computer proficiency.
8. Monitor patient response to EKG tests and report any changes to the appropriate medical personnel.
9. Ensure all equipment is in proper working order.
10. Educate patients and their families on the importance of cardiac health.
