
Lead Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician
At Franciscan Health, we are looking for a passionate Lead Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. This position requires a highly-skilled and knowledgeable individual with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality in our Central Sterile Processing Department. The Lead Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician will be an integral part of our mission to provide quality healthcare services to our patients.The ideal candidate for this role will possess a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) credential from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) and have at least two years of Central Sterile Processing experience. The candidate must also demonstrate excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and an ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other departments. Additionally, the candidate should have a commitment to providing exceptional customer service and demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct the activities of the Central Sterile Processing Department to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality
- Maintain knowledge of current regulatory standards and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Train and mentor new staff members in Central Sterile Processing methods and procedures
- Monitor and review processes to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
- Oversee inventory and supply management in the Central Sterile Processing Department
- Monitor and review departmental performance to identify areas of improvement
- Ensure proper maintenance and operation of equipment
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely manner
- Liaise with other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration
