Medical Assistant - Urgent Care and Occupational Health

Franciscan Health is looking for an experienced, compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Urgent Care and Occupational Health team. Responsibilities:

1. Provide excellent patient care and support in a fast-paced environment.
2. Greet and check-in patients, take vital signs, perform medical tests, and process paperwork.
3. Effectively communicate with patients, staff, and external providers.
4. Manage medical records and ensure accuracy of patient information.
5. Administer medications, collect specimens, and perform routine laboratory tests.
6. Assist physicians with exams, procedures, and other treatments.
7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
8. Educate patients and families on treatment plans and proper care techniques.
9. Answer patient inquiries, handle complaints, and respond to any medical emergencies.
10. Process billing and insurance information.
