Bioinformatics Software Engineer

At Genentech, we’re looking for a talented, motivated Bioinformatics Software Engineer to join our team. As a Bioinformatics Software Engineer, you will play a key role in advancing our mission of discovering, developing, and delivering innovative medicines to patients. You’ll be part of a highly collaborative team of researchers, data scientists, and software engineers, creating the tools and infrastructure that drive our data-driven approach to drug discovery and development.In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying robust software solutions for bioinformatics across the entire Genentech data landscape. We’re looking for someone with a passion for software development, an eye for detail, and an ability to tackle complex problems in a timely and efficient manner.To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field. You should also have experience with web development, scripting, and software development in a Linux environment.
