
Cable Technician
Operates lab and experimental equipment; collects and summarizes data. Sets up and checks out semi-routine experiments and tests according to pre-arranged procedures; records experimental data. Diagnoses and corrects operational problems or trouble sources in equipment or tests. Performs housekeeping and cleanup duties as required. Build various cables that meet IPC620 Class 3 requirements. Determine and/or follow methods and sequences of operations in performing tasks such as wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on units. Ability to comprehend complex drawings and or written instructions. Label assemblies in accordance with drawing specifications. Soldering-tinning wire, splices (lap/hook) connections. Conduct continuity testing as needed.
7+ years of related experience
Prior military experience with Electronics Technician Maintenance School (ETMS) is highly desired.
Certification in IPC620 is desired.
Certification in IPC610 and J-standard is a plus
Experience in material potting is a plus
