- Develop and implement business intelligence strategies and solutions to support the Planning and Logistics department's objectives.
- Utilize data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns and insights that can guide decision-making and improve business processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to effectively communicate key metrics and performance indicators.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing business intelligence tools and processes, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in business intelligence, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and optimization.
- Train and support end-users on how to effectively use business intelligence tools to access and analyze data.
- Ensure data integrity and security by developing and implementing data governance policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the IT department to maintain and enhance the data infrastructure and ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
- Take ownership of assigned projects and tasks, and manage them from conception to completion within given timelines and budget.
- Act as a subject matter expert on business intelligence, providing guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and communicate potential risks or issues, and propose solutions to mitigate them.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making within the organization.
- Represent the Planning and Logistics department in cross-functional meetings and initiatives related to business intelligence.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Business Intelligence Developer At General Electric Must Have The Ability To Analyze Complex Data Sets, Identify Patterns And Trends, And Utilize Critical Thinking To Solve Business Problems Related To Planning And Logistics.
Proficiency In Data Visualization And Reporting Tools: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Data Visualization Techniques And Be Proficient In Tools Such As Tableau, Power Bi, Or Qlikview To Create Visually Appealing And Insightful Dashboards And Reports.
Knowledge Of Sql And Database Management: A Business Intelligence Developer Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Sql And Be Able To Write Complex Queries To Retrieve And Manipulate Data From Databases. Experience With Database Management And Data Warehousing Is Also Preferred.
