
Data Scientist - Power Systems
General Electric is looking for an experienced Data Scientist – Power Systems to join our Power Systems team and help us drive innovative solutions to power a more connected, sustainable world. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is eager to contribute to our team’s objectives of developing new and advanced analytics and predictive models to support GE’s growth and the evolution of the energy industry. The successful candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills, a passion for data science, and an ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of experience in a data science role. Experience with Power Systems is preferred. A successful candidate should have experience with data mining, predictive modeling, and data analytics, and must be passionate about applying their skills to meaningful solutions. The candidate should also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work with a team, and possess excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new and advanced analytics and predictive models to support GE’s growth and the evolution of the energy industry.
- Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and correlations.
- Design and build data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and analysis.
- Develop algorithms and models to extract value from structured and unstructured data.
- Present findings to stakeholders and other key personnel.
- Use advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence techniques to identify process improvements.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to identify opportunities for data-driven solutions.
- Monitor and analyze data to identify anomalies.
- Work with teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and advancements in data science.
