Job Description

Lead Design and implementation of optimized control architectures that meet the product requirements, considering the existing components and future control platform evolution in the business. Ensure that all designs and practices implement and foster a culture of safety, quality, on time delivery and meeting cost targets. Prepare/review detailed technical specifications for the control of large industry, marine and naval power converters that meet customer requirements. Develop, define, and deliver the base software packages (software with list of libraries/system versions, test reports) for use in typical project configuration. Take lead in design reviews, task force, industrial committees, and design boards as necessary. Establish and maintain relationships with required external and internal interfaces to ensure that customer requirements are understood and being achieved. Review solutions developed by teams and identify opportunities for improvement of process, system, or equipment to prevent errors.

Job Qualifications
  • 5+ years of engineering experience

  • Experience with development of MATLAB / RTS (real time simulation) model and MATLAB tools.

  • Skilled on Sync Motor AND Asynch motor control

  • Domain knowledge with semiconductor devices (Thyristor and transistor based) and their application to large power converters
