Career and Academic Advisor
We are seeking a student-centered Career and Academic Advisor to coach graduate students in career development, and offer academic advising to assigned graduate programs. This position advises and counsels students and alumni on career opportunities, review resumes and provide interviews and search best practices. Provides specialized career coaching and academic advising to Elliott School graduate students and graduate alumni, including assessment of student/alumni needs and interests, resume review, interview skills. Reviews and approves student Handshake submissions, including resumes and cover letters; Comprehensive Action Plans.
Coaching and / or advising experience, independently, in a firm or practice, an academic office, or a corporate human resources department.
Ability to design, plan, and deliver programs, workshops, seminars both in person and online.
Successful experience in dealing with a diverse graduate population at all levels of career transition
