Job Description

At Georgia-Pacific, we are looking for a highly organized and motivated Planner/Scheduler (Mechanical) to join our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and scheduling mechanical maintenance activities at our facilities to ensure the efficient operation of our production processes. The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. If you have an eye for detail and the drive to achieve success, then we want to hear from you!The required qualifications for this role include a high school diploma or GED, a minimum of three years of experience in a mechanical maintenance planning and scheduling role, and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. An Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related field is also preferred. Additionally, the successful candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a professional, customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and schedule mechanical maintenance activities to ensure efficient production processes.
  2. Prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  3. Utilize Microsoft Office applications to create, update and track projects.
  4. Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional attitude.
  5. Monitor and review the progress of projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
  6. Develop and implement new strategies for mechanical maintenance planning and scheduling.
  7. Coordinate with other departments and personnel to ensure projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  8. Identify areas for improvement and suggest changes to optimize the mechanical maintenance planning and scheduling process.
  9. Troubleshoot any issues or delays that arise during the mechanical maintenance planning and scheduling process.
  10. Maintain accurate records of all mechanical maintenance planning and scheduling activities.
