Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Scientist - Fermentation to join the GlaxoSmithKline team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for working in an innovative and dynamic environment, and demonstrate a deep understanding of fermentation processes. The Scientist - Fermentation will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge projects that push the boundaries of fermentation and bioprocessing technology. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the fermentation and R&D space, with a minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant field. The ideal candidate will have experience in fermentation process development, process optimization and troubleshooting, experience with process analytics, and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize fermentation processes • Troubleshoot fermentation process issues • Analyze fermentation process data to identify trends and potential improvements • Design experiments to evaluate and improve fermentation processes • Develop fermentation models to predict fermentation performance • Utilize statistical process control for process optimization • Prepare and present reports on fermentation process development • Work collaboratively with other scientists and engineers to ensure optimal fermentation results • Design, develop, and maintain fermentation equipment and processes • Stay current with industry developments and trends in fermentation and bioprocessing • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
