- Develop and implement legal strategies to ensure compliance of our global product offerings with applicable laws and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with evolving legal and regulatory landscapes in various countries to effectively advise on product development and updates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and compliance, to provide legal guidance and support throughout the product lifecycle.
- Review and assess potential legal risks associated with new product features and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including contracts, policies, and disclosures, related to product offerings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external counsel and regulatory agencies to stay informed on changes and updates in laws and regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on legal considerations and compliance requirements for product offerings.
- Participate in product reviews and audits to ensure ongoing compliance and identify potential areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to review product marketing materials for compliance with legal requirements.
- Represent the company in legal matters related to product offerings, such as negotiations with regulatory agencies or responding to customer inquiries.
- Monitor and track legal and regulatory developments in the industry and proactively advise on potential impacts to product offerings.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of company policies and procedures related to product compliance.
- Stay current on industry best practices and make recommendations for process improvements and efficiencies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on product compliance matters and provide guidance and support to other legal team members.
- Continuously assess and improve upon the company's global product compliance program.
Extensive Knowledge Of Global Product Laws And Regulations: As A Global Product Counsel At Gusto, It Is Essential To Have A Deep Understanding Of The Laws And Regulations That Govern Product Development And Launch In Various Countries. This Includes Knowledge Of Data Privacy, Consumer Protection, And Intellectual Property Laws.
Experience With International Product Launches: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience With Launching Products In Multiple Countries. This Includes Understanding The Complexities Of Different Markets, Navigating Cultural Differences, And Ensuring Compliance With Local Laws And Regulations.
Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Global Product Counsel, You Will Need To Work Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Product Managers, Engineers, And Designers.
