  1. Develop and implement privacy policies and procedures that align with legal regulations and best practices.
  2. Advise and educate team members on privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.
  3. Lead cross-functional efforts to ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
  4. Monitor changes in privacy laws and regulations and make necessary updates to company policies and procedures.
  5. Collaborate with the legal team to review and negotiate privacy terms in contracts and agreements.
  6. Conduct privacy impact assessments and provide guidance on data protection impact assessments.
  7. Conduct regular privacy training for employees to ensure understanding and compliance.
  8. Serve as the main point of contact for privacy-related inquiries from customers, partners, and regulatory agencies.
  9. Work closely with the security team to identify and address potential privacy risks.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with external privacy experts and stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  11. Lead the development and maintenance of a data inventory and data mapping processes.
  12. Oversee the handling of data subject requests, including data deletion and access requests.
  13. Monitor and report on privacy program effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement.
  14. Lead investigations and responses to privacy incidents or breaches.
  15. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure privacy considerations are included in new product and feature development.
  16. Represent the company in privacy-related legal proceedings.
  17. Develop and manage the privacy budget and resources.
  18. Foster a culture of privacy and data protection throughout the organization.
  19. Continuously improve and evolve the privacy program to adapt to changing laws and regulations.
  20. Act as a thought leader and advocate for privacy both internally and externally.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In A Legal Or Compliance Role, With At Least 5 Years In A Leadership Position.

  • Expertise In Privacy Laws And Regulations, Including Gdpr And Ccpa, And Experience Implementing Privacy Programs In A Fast-Paced, High-Growth Environment.

  • Strong Understanding Of Data Protection Principles And Best Practices, As Well As Experience With Data Privacy Impact Assessments And Incident Response.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing A Team And Developing Junior Legal And Compliance Professionals.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Communicate Complex Legal Concepts To Non-Legal Stakeholders.
