Job Description

Maintains / repairs / installs small HVAC units (cooling towers, wiring / breakers, blowers, motors, compressors, coils, heat exchangers, condensers, etc.); replaces electrical and refrigerant sensors. Makes major repairs / cleans / performs PM on HVAC cooling towers. Performs routine maintenance on HVAC ducts and evaporator coils. Repairs small AC units. Maintains / makes minor repairs to refrigerator and freezer equipment, and refrigerated prep and display cases. Maintains / repairs large ice machines (low, medium, high temp refrigeration). Operates boilers / chillers; performs water treatment. May assist with preventive maintenance inspections. Monitors HVAC controller (BMS).

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems

  • Experience in refrigeration and boilers

  • EPA Section 608 Technician Type II certification

  • Knowledge of OSHA / building codes that affect workplace health and safety
