In this role, you will be responsible for performing EEG tests and procedures, helping to diagnose and treat a variety of neurological conditions.   1. Conduct EEG tests and procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  2. Prepare patients for EEG testing, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
  3. Accurately record and document EEG results, including any abnormalities or concerns.
  4. Collaborate with neurologists and other healthcare professionals to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological conditions.
  5. Maintain and troubleshoot EEG equipment to ensure proper functioning and accuracy of results.
  6. Educate patients and their families on the EEG procedure, including any necessary preparations and potential risks.
  7. Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols while performing EEG tests.
  8. Keep accurate records of patient information, test results, and any necessary follow-up appointments.
  9. Stay current on developments and advancements in EEG technology and techniques.
  10. Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients, recognizing their individual needs and concerns.
  11. Communicate effectively with team members and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  12. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental processes.
  14. Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and visitors.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment within the Neurology department.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Neuroscience, Neurodiagnostics, Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As An Eeg Technician Through The American Board Of Registration Of Electroencephalographic And Evoked Potential Technologists (Abret).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Performing Eegs In A Clinical Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Neuroanatomy And Neurophysiology.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team.
