  • Conduct electrocardiograms on patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures
  • Accurately record and analyze EKG data, identifying and reporting any abnormalities to the appropriate healthcare provider
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during EKG procedures
  • Maintain and calibrate EKG equipment to ensure accurate readings
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols to prevent the spread of infection
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure timely and efficient patient care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide information and education about EKG procedures and results
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on EKG techniques and procedures
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations
  • Demonstrate a commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Ekg Technician Training Program Or Equivalent Experience.

  • Certification As A Certified Cardiographic Technician (Cct) Or Certified Ekg Technician (Cet) Through A Nationally Recognized Certifying Body.

  • Knowledge Of Cardiac Anatomy, Physiology, And Medical Terminology.

  • Proficiency In Operating And Troubleshooting Ekg Equipment.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Interacting With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
