  1. Assist healthcare providers in the delivery of patient care by performing basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with examinations.
  2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
  3. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive patient experience.
  5. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to maintain an efficient and timely clinic schedule.
  6. Follow all established protocols and procedures to ensure patient safety and maintain HIPAA compliance.
  7. Administer medications and injections as directed by providers, adhering to proper dosage and administration guidelines.
  8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the delivery of high-quality and evidence-based care.
  9. Continuously update and expand knowledge through attending trainings, workshops, and staying current with industry developments and best practices.
  10. Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients and their families.
  11. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  12. Adhere to all Henry Ford Health System policies and procedures, including infection control, safety, and privacy regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Credential From An Accredited Program

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Family Medicine Or Primary Care Setting

  • Knowledge Of Electronic Medical Records (Emr) And Ability To Navigate And Input Data Accurately

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members

  • Familiarity With Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Equipment Used In A Family Medicine Setting, Including Phlebotomy, Injections, And Vital Sign Monitoring.
