  1. Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients in the Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU).
  2. Utilize strong background in cardiac surgery to assess, diagnose, and treat patients.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  4. Monitor and manage patients' conditions, including vital signs, lab values, and medication administration.
  5. Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote understanding and compliance with treatment plans.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
  7. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure safe and ethical patient care.
  8. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
  9. Stay up-to-date on advancements and best practices in cardiac surgery and intensive care through continuing education and professional development.
  10. Serve as a resource and mentor to other healthcare professionals, including nurses and support staff, to promote a culture of excellence in patient care.
  11. Collaborate with other departments within the hospital to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  12. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with patients, families, and colleagues at all times.
  13. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to prevent the spread of illness and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  14. Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize and manage a high caseload in a fast-paced environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively In A Multidisciplinary Team.

  • Current License As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant With Specialization In Cardiac Surgery Icu.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Critical Care Setting, Preferably In A Cardiac Surgery Icu.

  • Board Certification In Acute Care, Critical Care, Or Cardiology By A Recognized Credentialing Body.

  • Strong Clinical Skills And Knowledge Of Advanced Cardiac Procedures And Interventions.
