We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. As a Clinical Nurse in our NICU, you will play a vital role in providing specialized care to our tiniest patients and their families during their most critical moments. We are looking for someone with a strong background in neonatal nursing and a passion for working with infants and their families. - Provide specialized and compassionate care to newborn infants in the NICU.
- Monitor vital signs and assess the overall health and well-being of each patient.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate and support parents and families on the care of their newborn and provide emotional support during difficult times.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and follow infection control protocols.
- Document all patient interactions, treatments, and progress in electronic medical records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date on current practices, techniques, and technologies in neonatal nursing and implement them in patient care.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and team members.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the NICU team.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and educational opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment by demonstrating teamwork, respect, and professionalism.
Current Rn License In The State Of California
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Level Iii Nicu Setting
Certification In Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (Rnc-Nic) Preferred
Strong Clinical Skills And Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practices In Neonatal Nursing Care
