As an Ultrasound Tech I at HOAG, you must have a strong understanding of ultrasound technology, procedures, and protocols. You must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with our team and provide exceptional patient care. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an ultrasound technologist and ARDMS certification is required for this role.   1. Perform ultrasound imaging procedures on patients according to established protocols and standards.
  2. Operate ultrasound equipment and ensure proper functioning and maintenance.
  3. Review patient medical history and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate ultrasound procedures.
  4. Explain procedures to patients and address any concerns or questions they may have.
  5. Provide high-quality patient care and ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all ultrasound procedures performed.
  7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times.
  8. Continuously monitor and assess image quality to ensure accurate and precise results.
  9. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to analyze and interpret ultrasound images.
  10. Stay up-to-date with advancements in ultrasound technology and procedures.
  11. Train and mentor new ultrasound technologists as needed.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  13. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive relationships with patients and healthcare team members.
  14. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and ethical standards in all aspects of job performance.
  15. Participate in quality assurance activities and help identify areas for improvement.
  16. Comply with all departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
  17. Attend in-service trainings and educational seminars to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  18. Collaborate with scheduling staff to ensure efficient and timely patient flow.
  19. Adhere to professional and ethical standards at all times.
  20. Continuously demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional healthcare services to our community.

Job Qualifications
  • Associate's Or Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or A Related Field.

  • Current Certification As A Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Rdms) From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Performing Ultrasound Procedures In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.

  • Knowledge Of And Ability To Operate Various Ultrasound Equipment And Software, Including Ge And Siemens Machines.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
