- Provide administrative support to the buying team by managing and organizing all purchasing-related documents and records.
- Assist with vendor communication and maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor contact information.
- Help coordinate and schedule meetings and appointments for the buying team.
- Process and track purchase orders, invoices, and other financial documents.
- Research and analyze market trends and competitor pricing to assist the buying team in making informed purchasing decisions.
- Ensure inventory levels are maintained and track merchandise deliveries.
- Communicate with store managers and other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of buying reports and spreadsheets.
- Help negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to ensure the best deals for the company.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns for new products.
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with vendors, store managers, and other team members.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new product releases to provide valuable insights to the buying team.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve and streamline purchasing processes.
- Attend buying conferences and trade shows as needed to assist the buying team in finding new products and vendors.
- Assist in training and mentoring new buying administrative assistants.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the buying team or management.
