Design and develop RPG programs to support business requirements and enhance existing applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, propose solutions and deliver high-quality code.
Create technical design documents and maintain accurate documentation for all development projects.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner to ensure minimal downtime and maximum system performance.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of programs to ensure accuracy and functionality.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in iSeries programming to continuously improve and enhance our systems.
Work closely with project managers and business stakeholders to ensure project deadlines are met and deliverables are of high quality.
Provide support and assistance to end-users and other team members as needed.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve overall code quality.
Proactively identify opportunities for system improvements and propose solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with other developers to ensure consistency and standardization of coding practices.
Adhere to company coding standards and best practices to maintain a high level of quality and consistency in all development projects.
Communicate effectively with team members, managers, and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and any potential issues.
Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth to expand knowledge and skills in iSeries development.
