Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Director, Debt Capital Markets to join the HSBC team. Our ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the debt capital markets and will have an unwavering commitment to excellence and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field and at least 8 years of experience in debt capital markets. You must also have an in-depth understanding of the fixed income and capital markets and a proven track record of successfully executing debt capital market transactions. A CFA designation is an asset.We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is organized, highly-driven, and has the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute strategies for debt capital markets transactions.
  2. Analyze and evaluate debt capital markets transactions to ensure maximum return.
  3. Support the overall debt capital markets strategy of HSBC.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the debt capital markets.
  5. Monitor and report on market trends in the debt capital markets.
  6. Analyze the impact of macroeconomic and market conditions on the debt capital markets.
  7. Identify and evaluate opportunities to increase the competitiveness of HSBC’s debt capital markets activities.
  8. Develop and recommend policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  9. Manage and maintain records of debt capital markets transactions.
  10. Provide mentorship and support to junior members of the team.
