Design Engineer

Hubbell Incorporated is looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join our team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about engineering and has the ability to think creatively and solve complex problems. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.The Design Engineer will be responsible for developing innovative designs and new product concepts from concept to production. They will be expected to have a deep understanding of design principles, engineering standards, and manufacturing processes. They should be able to create product specifications, provide cost estimates, and lead the development and implementation of designs.Required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study, with at least 5 years of experience in a design engineering role. Strong problem solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Demonstrated experience with CAD software, prototyping, and product development are highly desired.

Responsibilities of the Design Engineer:

• Develop innovative designs and new product concepts from concept to production • Create product specifications, provide cost estimates, and lead the development and implementation of designs • Utilize CAD software and other design tools to develop and find solutions to engineering problems • Research and select appropriate materials and components for product designs • Analyze engineering data and generate technical reports and design documentation • Work collaboratively with other engineers, technicians, and support personnel • Ensure designs are compliant with safety regulations and technical standards • Implement design changes and improvements based on customer feedback • Conduct quality checks to ensure designs are accurate and cost-effective • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices
