
Operating Room Aide

- Support surgical teams: Provide assistance to surgical teams by preparing and organizing equipment, supplies, and instruments needed for procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization: Ensure that operating rooms are clean, well-stocked, and organized to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
- Assist with patient care: Help with patient positioning, transfers, and preparations for surgery, while adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Monitor and stock supplies: Keep track of inventory levels and restock supplies as needed to ensure that operating rooms are well-equipped for procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare team: Communicate and collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth flow of operations and patient care.
- Follow protocols: Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control, safety, and privacy regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service: Greet patients and their families, answer questions, and address concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
- Document procedures: Accurately document patient information, supplies used, and any other necessary information in patient records and/or operating room logs.
- Assist with transportation: Help transport patients to and from the operating room, as well as assist with the transportation of equipment and supplies.
- Attend trainings and meetings: Participate in trainings and meetings to stay updated on best practices, new equipment, and hospital policies.
- Maintain confidentiality: Safeguard patient privacy by maintaining confidentiality of all patient information and medical records.
- Adhere to safety protocols: Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors at all times.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For An Operating Room Aide At Huntington Hospital Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge To Perform The Job Duties.
