Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Unit at Huntington Hospital. This position requires a highly organized individual with a commitment to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. Our team is looking for a dedicated professional who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have the qualifications and knowledge necessary to succeed in this role. This includes current certification as a Registered Nurse, experience in a critical care unit, as well as a commitment to delivering excellent patient care. In addition, the successful candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills, and be capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high quality patient care within a critical care unit, in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  2. Monitor patients’ vital signs, administer medications and treatments, and provide follow-up care as needed.
  3. Assist in organizing and leading critical care team meetings, and participate in other hospital committees and activities.
  4. Serve as a role model to nursing staff, providing guidance and direction in the delivery of patient care.
  5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of patient care plans and make necessary adjustments.
  6. Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
  7. Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
  8. Remain current on best practices and professional standards in critical care nursing.
  9. Utilize effective communication strategies to ensure effective collaboration with all members of the healthcare team.
  10. Participate in continuing education courses to stay abreast of latest developments in nursing and critical care.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment

  • Current Registered Nurse Licensure In The State Of California

  • At Least One Year Of Experience In A Critical Care Unit

  • Current Certification In Basic Life Support (Bls)
