Job Description

IHOP is currently seeking a District Manager to join our team and help us achieve our goals of delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving profitability. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead and support a group of restaurants while working closely with our franchisees.   1. Oversee and manage multiple restaurant locations within a designated district.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability for all restaurants.
  3. Provide leadership and guidance to restaurant managers and staff to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  4. Monitor and analyze financial performance of each restaurant and take necessary actions to address any issues.
  5. Collaborate with franchisees to ensure brand standards and operational procedures are being followed.
  6. Conduct regular visits and evaluations of each restaurant to ensure quality and consistency.
  7. Train and develop restaurant managers to improve performance and achieve company goals.
  8. Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  9. Act as a liaison between franchisees and corporate headquarters, providing regular updates and feedback.
  10. Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure efficient operations.
  11. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes, and make recommendations for improvement.
  12. Handle any escalated guest or operational issues in a timely and effective manner.
  13. Create and maintain budgets for each restaurant and ensure adherence to financial goals.
  14. Collaborate with marketing team to develop and implement local marketing initiatives.
  15. Conduct regular meetings with franchisees to discuss performance, goals, and strategies.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Leadership Skills: A District Manager At Ihop Must Have The Ability To Lead And Motivate A Team Of Managers To Achieve Company Goals And Maintain A High Level Of Customer Service.

  • Multi-Unit Management Experience: Ihop District Managers Are Responsible For Overseeing Multiple Restaurant Locations, So Experience Managing Multiple Units Or Locations Is Essential.

  • Budget Management Skills: District Managers Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Financial Management, Including Budgeting, Forecasting, And Expense Control, In Order To Ensure The Profitability Of Each Restaurant Location.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As A District Manager, Effective Communication Is Essential In Order To Effectively Communicate With Both Upper Management And Restaurant Staff.

  • Restaurant Industry Experience: A Strong Understanding Of The Restaurant Industry, Particularly In The Casual Dining Sector, Is Important For A District Manager At Ihop To Be Successful In Implementing Company Policies And Procedures. This Could Include Previous Experience As A General Manager Or Other Leadership Roles Within The Restaurant Industry.
