As an In-store Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products are properly stocked, organized, and available for our customers to purchase. - Ensure all products are properly stocked and organized in the warehouse for easy accessibility by customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse to provide a pleasant shopping experience for customers.
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish products as needed to avoid any stock shortages.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Handle incoming shipments and verify that all products are correct and in good condition.
- Unload and load trucks efficiently and safely.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move and store products.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Communicate any product or inventory issues to the appropriate department.
- Assist customers with locating and retrieving products from the warehouse if needed.
- Keep track of damaged products and report them to the appropriate department.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with customers and team members.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency in the warehouse.
Physical Stamina And Strength: Working In A Warehouse Requires The Ability To Lift Heavy Objects, Stand For Long Periods Of Time, And Perform Physically Demanding Tasks Such As Loading And Unloading Trucks.
Attention To Detail: Warehouse Workers Must Be Able To Accurately Count And Sort Inventory, As Well As Identify And Report Any Damaged Or Missing Items.
Organizational Skills: In A Fast-Paced Environment Like Ikea, It Is Important For Warehouse Workers To Be Able To Prioritize Tasks, Maintain A Tidy Workspace, And Keep Track Of Multiple Orders And Shipments.
Teamwork: As Part Of A Larger Logistics Team, Warehouse Workers At Ikea Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively And Work Collaboratively With Others To Ensure Efficient And Timely Delivery Of Products.
Basic Computer Skills: Warehouse Workers May Be Required To Use Inventory Management Software Or Handheld Devices To Track And Process Orders, So Basic Computer Skills Are Necessary For This Role.
