  1. Develop and implement innovative and effective store layouts that align with IKEA's brand image and sales strategies.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including visual merchandising, sales, and marketing to understand business needs and create layouts that meet their objectives.
  3. Utilize expert knowledge of retail space planning principles to maximize store space and improve customer flow.
  4. Conduct regular store visits and analysis to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to store layout.
  5. Work closely with the store manager to ensure that all legal and safety requirements are met in the layout design.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor strategies to continuously improve and innovate store layouts.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to source and incorporate new and innovative fixtures and displays in store layouts.
  8. Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed store layout plans and 3D visualizations.
  9. Train and mentor junior retail space planners to ensure consistent and high-quality store layouts across all IKEA locations.
  10. Adhere to IKEA's sustainability principles and incorporate eco-friendly solutions in store layouts.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Interior Design, Architecture, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Retail Space Planning, Preferably In A Home Furnishings Or Retail Setting.

  • Proficiency In Autocad And Other Space Planning Software.

  • Strong Understanding Of Retail Trends And Customer Behavior.

  • Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams.
