  1. Conduct accurate and precise measurements using advanced measurement equipment and techniques.
  2. Perform routine and complex calibrations on measurement equipment according to established procedures.
  3. Troubleshoot and diagnose measurement equipment issues to ensure accurate results.
  4. Maintain and update calibration records and documentation.
  5. Collaborate with other team members to identify and resolve any quality issues.
  6. Follow safety guidelines and protocols in the Metrology lab to ensure a safe working environment.
  7. Continuously monitor and improve measurement processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  8. Keep up-to-date with industry standards and best practices in metrology.
  9. Assist in training new employees on measurement equipment and procedures.
  10. Communicate effectively with colleagues and managers to report any issues or concerns.
  11. Utilize computer software to record, analyze, and report measurements.
  12. Participate in cross-functional projects and provide technical support as needed.
  13. Contribute to the development and improvement of quality control processes.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the Metrology lab.
  15. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Metrology Principles And Equipment: A Metrology Lab Technician At Lexmark International Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Principles Of Metrology And Be Familiar With Different Types Of Equipment Used For Measurements Such As Calipers, Micrometers, And Optical Comparators.

  • Proficiency In Measurement Techniques And Standards: The Candidate Should Have A Good Understanding Of Measurement Techniques And Standards Such As Iso 9001 And Iso 17025. They Should Also Be Able To Follow Procedures Accurately And Maintain Precise Measurements.

  • Attention To Detail And Accuracy: As A Metrology Lab Technician, One Must Possess Excellent Attention To Detail And Accuracy In Order To Ensure That All Measurements Are Precise And Consistent. One Small Error Can Result In Faulty Products, Which Can Be Costly For The Company.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Candidate Should Have Strong Analytical Skills To Troubleshoot Any Issues That May Arise During Measurements. They Should Also Be Able To Identify Potential Problems And Suggest Solutions To Improve Measurement Processes.

  • Knowledge Of Computer Software: A Metrology Lab Technician Should Be Proficient In Using Computer Software For Data Collection, Analysis, And Reporting. Knowledge Of Programs Such As Microsoft Excel And Statistical Analysis Software Is Essential For This Role.
