  1. Develop and implement human factors strategies and processes to improve safety and efficiency in the aviation industry.
  2. Lead and manage a team of human factors experts to ensure the integration of human factors principles in the design, development, and testing of aviation products.
  3. Conduct research and analyze data to identify potential human factors issues and develop solutions.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure human factors considerations are incorporated throughout the product development lifecycle.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in human factors and provide recommendations for improvement.
  6. Conduct evaluations and assessments of current and future aviation products to identify potential human factors risks and make recommendations for improvement.
  7. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on human factors principles and their importance in aviation.
  8. Communicate with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and incorporate their feedback in the development of aviation products.
  9. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to human factors in aviation.
  10. Serve as a subject matter expert on human factors for internal and external stakeholders.
  11. Drive continuous improvement efforts by identifying areas for optimization and implementing solutions.
  12. Participate in industry conferences and events to share knowledge and represent Lockheed Martin's expertise in aviation human factors.
  13. Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and design, to incorporate human factors considerations in the development of new technologies and products.
  14. Lead and participate in human factors-related projects and initiatives to support the company's overall goals and objectives.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Human Factors Engineering, Psychology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Human Factors Research Or Application In The Aviation Industry.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Human Factors Principles, Regulations, And Standards, Such As Faa/Easa Regulations And Mil-Std-1472.

  • Experience Leading And Managing A Team Of Human Factors Specialists In The Design, Development, And Evaluation Of Aviation Systems.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Present Findings To Senior Leadership.
