Graphic Artist

Designs and develops communication strategies that promote healthier behaviors, service availability and events for the surrounding community and employees. These strategies include the use of social media, print, audio and video. This includes working with designated clinical staff to develop targeted, interesting and culturally sensitive content and materials for patients. Utilizes a computer and specialized graphics software to create graphic designs. Prepares layouts of reports, booklets, pamphlets, and various other productions utilizing a knowledge of composition, production techniques, and a variety of styles and media. Produces a variety of freehand artwork such as drawings and sketches, illustrations, logo-grams, and background scenes.

Los Angeles County, one of California's original 27 counties, was established on Feb. 18, 1850. It is one of the nation's largest counties with 4,084 square miles, and has the largest population of any county in the nation - nearly 10 million residents who account for approximately 27 percent of California's population. As a subdivision of the state, the County is charged with providing numerous services that affect the lives of all residents, including law enforcement, tax collection, public health protection, public social services, elections and flood control.
