- Monitor and maintain a safe and secure environment in the store for customers and employees.
- Patrol the store premises and identify any potential security risks or threats.
- Respond to security alarms and handle any emergency situations in a calm and efficient manner.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all security systems and equipment are in proper working order.
- Collaborate with store management and team members to develop and implement security protocols and procedures.
- Observe and report any suspicious or criminal activities to the appropriate authorities.
- Investigate and document any incidents, accidents, or thefts that occur in the store.
- Train and educate store employees on safety and security procedures to prevent and mitigate risks.
- Conduct audits and inventory checks to ensure merchandise is properly accounted for and secured.
- Work closely with law enforcement and other external agencies when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with customers and address any security concerns or issues they may have.
- Stay informed about current security trends and make recommendations to improve the store's security measures.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations related to asset protection.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times.
Experience In Loss Prevention: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience In Loss Prevention Or Asset Protection, Ideally In A Retail Environment.
Knowledge Of Security Systems: Familiarity With Security Systems And Equipment Such As Closed-Circuit Television (Cctv) Cameras, Alarms, And Access Control Systems Is Essential For This Role.
Strong Communication Skills: Asset Protection Agents Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Customers, Employees, And Law Enforcement Agencies.
Attention To Detail: Paying Close Attention To Detail Is Crucial For Identifying And Resolving Potential Security Risks And Preventing Theft And Fraud.
Physical Fitness: This Role May Involve Standing, Walking, And Patrolling For Extended Periods, So Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.
