
Counselor (CADC) - Women's Residential Treatment

- Provide individual and group counseling sessions for women seeking treatment for addiction.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
- Collaborate with other members of the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine appropriate level of care and make referrals as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Stay current on the latest research and best practices in addiction treatment.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and sensitivity towards clients and their struggles.
- Act as a role model and source of support for clients during their recovery journey.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in regular supervision and training to continue professional growth and development.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of counseling and treatment.
- Advocate for the needs and rights of clients within the healthcare system.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with community resources and organizations to provide additional support for clients.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss client progress and treatment plans.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards clients, colleagues, and the overall treatment program.
Certification As A Certified Alcohol And Drug Counselor (Cadc) Through The Maine Board Of Alcohol And Drug Counselors.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience Providing Counseling And Treatment To Women With Substance Abuse Issues In A Residential Setting.
Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Treatment Modalities For Substance Abuse, Including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, And Trauma-Informed Care.
Ability To Develop And Implement Individualized Treatment Plans For Clients, Including Goal Setting, Progress Monitoring, And Relapse Prevention Strategies.
Strong Understanding Of And Commitment To Working Within The Ethical Guidelines And Standards Of The Counseling Profession, As Outlined By Organizations Such As The American Counseling Association And The National Association For Alcoholism And Drug Abuse Counselors.
