
Occupational Therapy Assistant
MaineGeneral Health is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our rehab team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about helping others and have a strong background in occupational therapy. We’re seeking an individual who is a team player, has excellent interpersonal skills, and is eager to learn and advance their career.This position requires a current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the State of Maine, as well as a minimum of two years of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in a healthcare setting. The successful candidate must also possess strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with other medical professionals, and an aptitude for problem-solving. Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans as prescribed by the Occupational Therapist
- Administer therapeutic techniques using physical, mechanical, and electrical modalities
- Educate patients and families on the benefits of occupational therapy and assist with the development of individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist and other medical professionals to ensure that each patient receives the highest quality of care
- Document patient progress and communicate results to the Occupational Therapist
- Maintain patient records and perform administrative tasks as needed
- Participate in continuing education to stay up-to-date on the latest advances in occupational therapy
- Adhere to all standards and regulations set forth by the State of Maine and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
• High School Diploma Or Equivalent
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients
