Current Rn License In The State Of Maine: Candidates Must Possess A Valid Rn License In The State Of Maine To Be Considered For The Vascular Access Rn Position At Mainegeneral Health. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Familiar With The State's Nursing Regulations And Is Legally Authorized To Practice As An Rn.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn): A Bsn Is Preferred For This Position As It Demonstrates A Higher Level Of Education And Specialized Training In The Field Of Nursing. Candidates With A Bsn Are More Likely To Have A Strong Foundation In Evidence-Based Practice, Critical Thinking, And Leadership Skills.
Certification In Vascular Access (Va-Bc): Candidates Should Have A Certification In Vascular Access, Such As The Va-Bc (Vascular Access Board Certified) Or Crni (Certified Registered Nurse Infusion). This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has A Thorough Understanding Of Vascular Access Procedures, Techniques, And Best Practices.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Vascular Access: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Vascular Access, Preferably In A Hospital Setting. This Experience Demonstrates The Candidate's Proficiency In Performing Vascular Access Procedures, Knowledge Of Equipment And Supplies, And Ability To Handle Complex Patient Cases.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Vascular Access Rn, The Candidate Will Work Closely With Other Healthcare Professionals And Patients. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential For This Role.
