- Transport blood donations to and from collection sites, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of blood donations collected and delivered, including donor information and transportation logs.
- Communicate effectively with hospital staff, blood donors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of the bloodmobile vehicle at all times.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling and storage of blood donations.
- Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards blood donors and their families, providing a positive and supportive experience.
- Collaborate with other members of the blood collection team to coordinate schedules and routes for bloodmobile operations.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain knowledge of blood collection processes and safety standards.
- Represent Massachusetts General Hospital in a professional and respectful manner at all times.
- Continuously work towards improving processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of bloodmobile operations.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and ensure the bloodmobile vehicle is properly registered and maintained.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Valid Commercial Driver's License (Cdl) With Passenger Endorsement: As A Bloodmobile Driver, You Will Be Responsible For Safely Transporting The Bloodmobile Vehicle To Different Locations. A Cdl With A Passenger Endorsement Is Required To Operate The Vehicle.
Clean Driving Record: Massachusetts General Hospital Values Safety And Reliability, Therefore A Clean Driving Record Is Essential For The Bloodmobile Driver Position. Applicants With A History Of Accidents Or Traffic Violations May Not Be Considered For The Role.
Knowledge Of Bloodborne Pathogen Safety: The Bloodmobile Driver Will Be Responsible For Handling And Transporting Blood Products, Which May Contain Potentially Infectious Materials. Knowledge And Adherence To Strict Safety Protocols Are Crucial For This Role.
