  1. Provide emotional support to young patients and their families during their hospital stay.
  2. Plan and implement age-appropriate developmental interventions to meet the individual needs of each patient.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients.
  4. Conduct assessments to identify the emotional and developmental needs of patients.
  5. Advocate for the psychosocial needs of patients and their families within the hospital setting.
  6. Educate patients and families on coping strategies and techniques to manage stress and anxiety.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients and families to build trust and establish a positive rapport.
  8. Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families to promote healing and well-being.
  9. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in child development, psychology, and family dynamics.
  10. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, progress, and treatment plans.
  11. Serve as a resource and provide support to other healthcare professionals in understanding the unique needs of children in a medical setting.
  12. Participate in hospital-wide initiatives and programs to promote a child-friendly and family-centered environment.
  13. Adhere to ethical and professional standards and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve interventions and techniques to enhance patient outcomes.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to diversity and cultural competence in all interactions with patients and families.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Child Life, Child Development, Education, Or Related Field.

  • Certification Through The Child Life Council As A Certified Child Life Specialist (Ccls).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working With Children In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Child Development And Family-Centered Care Principles.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Healthcare Staff, Children, And Families.
