Job Description

Massachusetts General Hospital is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent patient care and for helping to create a positive, friendly and inviting atmosphere for our patients. We are looking for someone with a background in dental assisting, a strong customer service mindset, and a commitment to learning. To be successful in this role, you must be a certified dental assistant with a minimum of two years of experience in the field. You must also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be organized, and have a commitment to safety and compliance in all areas of practice. Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the dentist with a variety of dental procedures, including preparation of materials and tools.
  2. Provide excellent patient care and create a positive, friendly atmosphere for patients.
  3. Maintain compliance with all safety and hygiene standards.
  4. Ensure all instruments and materials are properly sterilized.
  5. Take digital radiographs and maintain accurate records.
  6. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
  7. Assist in ordering dental supplies and maintaining inventory.
  8. Manage patient appointments and schedules efficiently.
  9. Follow all safety protocols and keep the treatment room sanitary.
  10. Provide administrative support as needed.
