Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a Director for our Dietetic Internship and Community Nutrition program.   1. Oversee the Dietetic Internship and Community Nutrition program at Massachusetts General Hospital, ensuring the program's compliance with ACEND standards and regulations.
  2. Develop and implement a strategic plan for the program, including goals, objectives, and evaluation metrics.
  3. Recruit, select, and mentor a diverse group of dietetic interns, providing guidance and support throughout their training.
  4. Collaborate with departmental and hospital leadership to develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and other healthcare facilities for experiential learning opportunities.
  5. Design and deliver educational curriculum and materials that align with current nutrition science and evidence-based practice.
  6. Supervise and evaluate interns' progress, providing ongoing feedback and support to ensure their successful completion of the program.
  7. Monitor program outcomes and identify areas for improvement, implementing changes as needed to maintain program excellence.
  8. Serve as a role model and mentor for interns, demonstrating professionalism, ethical principles, and a commitment to continuous learning.
  9. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes cultural competence and sensitivity.
  10. Represent the program and promote its mission and values to internal and external stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and community partners.
  11. Manage program budget and resources, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficiency.
  12. Engage in scholarly activities, such as research and publications, to contribute to the advancement of community nutrition and dietetics.
  13. Stay current with developments and trends in the field of nutrition and dietetics, incorporating new knowledge and best practices into the program.
  14. Collaborate with other departments within the hospital to support interdisciplinary education and patient care initiatives.
  15. Participate in accreditation processes and maintain program accreditation status.

Job Qualifications
  • Registered Dietitian (Rd) Credential From The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr).

  • Master's Degree In Nutrition, Public Health, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Clinical Dietetics, Community Nutrition, And/Or Dietetic Internship Program Administration.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Or Program.

  • Knowledge Of Current Nutrition And Health Care Trends, Regulations, And Standards.
