
Exercise Physiologist

- Develop personalized exercise plans for patients based on their individual needs and fitness levels.
- Conduct fitness assessments and evaluations to determine patients' current physical abilities and limitations.
- Design and implement safe and effective exercise programs for patients with various chronic diseases and injuries.
- Provide education and guidance to patients on proper exercise techniques, equipment usage, and safety precautions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
- Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their exercise plans to achieve desired outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patients' exercise programs and progress.
- Stay up-to-date with current research and trends in exercise physiology to continuously improve patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure understanding and compliance with exercise plans.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as ethical and legal standards, in all aspects of the job.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for patients to promote a successful and enjoyable exercise experience.
- Serve as a role model for healthy lifestyle behaviors and actively promote health and wellness within the hospital and community.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Or Related Field.
Certification From The American College Of Sports Medicine (Acsm) Or National Strength And Conditioning Association (Nsca).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Exercise Physiologist In A Clinical Or Hospital Setting.
Strong Understanding Of Exercise Prescription And Programming For Various Medical Conditions And Populations.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team And Effectively Educate And Motivate Patients.
