  1. Assist genetic counselors in providing comprehensive care to patients by scheduling appointments, organizing patient records, and preparing necessary materials for appointments.
  2. Communicate with patients and their families to gather relevant medical history and information for genetic counseling sessions.
  3. Conduct preliminary genetic risk assessments and assist with the interpretation of genetic test results.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and resources.
  5. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
  6. Assist in developing educational materials and resources for patients and families regarding genetic conditions, risks, and treatment options.
  7. Provide emotional support and resources to patients and families as they navigate genetic testing and counseling.
  8. Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and research in the field of genetics and counseling.
  9. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of new protocols and procedures.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families by addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  11. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice in the field of genetic counseling.
  12. Assist with administrative tasks such as billing, insurance claims, and maintaining inventory of supplies.
  13. Collaborate with insurance companies to obtain necessary authorizations for genetic testing and counseling services.
  14. Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of genetic counseling.
  15. Continuously strive to improve the quality of care provided to patients and families by seeking feedback and implementing suggestions for improvement.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Genetics, Biology, Or A Related Field

  • Strong Understanding Of Genetics, Genetic Disorders, And Inheritance Patterns
