
Patient Care Associate/CNA - Cardiology

- Provide high-quality care to cardiology patients, following established protocols and procedures.
- Assist with basic patient care tasks, such as bathing, feeding, and ambulating patients.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nursing team.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the nursing team.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing emotional support and answering any questions or concerns.
- Adhere to infection control and safety policies to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Participate in patient education and provide information on self-care and disease management.
- Assist with patient transfers and transport, using proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
- Demonstrate a compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families.
- Attend training and educational sessions to stay updated on best practices and new developments in cardiology care.
- Uphold the values and mission of Massachusetts General Hospital, while providing exceptional care to patients.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to identify and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations, to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy.
Current Cna Certification: Applicants Must Possess A Valid And Current Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification From An Accredited Program.
Experience In Cardiology: Candidates Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Cardiology Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Medical Center.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: A Current Bls Certification Is Required, As Patient Care Associates/Cnas May Be Required To Assist With Emergency Situations.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members Is Essential In This Role.
Attention To Detail And Ability To Multitask: Patient Care Associates/Cnas Must Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively In A Fast-Paced Environment, While Maintaining A High Level Of Accuracy And Attention To Detail.
