
Patient Financial Assistance
Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Patient Financial Assistance professional to join our team. The Patient Financial Assistance team is responsible for helping our patients manage their financial responsibilities, ensuring their access to the highest quality care. In this role, you will be responsible for providing financial assistance services to our patients, including financial counseling, payment plan assistance, and eligibility determination for financial assistance programs.This is an exciting opportunity to help make a difference in the lives of our patients. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field and previous experience in financial assistance or customer service is required. Responsibilities:
- Provide financial assistance services to MGH patients, including financial counseling, payment plan assistance, and eligibility determination for financial assistance programs.
- Demonstrate a compassionate and patient-centered approach in all interactions with MGH patients.
- Ensure prompt and accurate resolution of patient financial inquiries.
- Maintain an organized filing system for patient financial records.
- Prepare monthly financial assistance activity reports.
- Remain up-to-date on MGH financial assistance policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate with patients to ensure a positive experience.
- Collaborate with other members of the Patient Financial Assistance team to ensure timely resolution of patient inquiries.
- Utilize various software programs to accurately process patient financial information.
- Follow all state and federal regulations and guidelines related to patient financial assistance.
